Charlotte Pass village is small and friendly, and absent of the hustle and bustle of the larger resorts. It has a total of five lifts and is open to downhill skiers, snowboarders and cross-country enthusiasts alike. With its high base elevation, the quality of the snow is most often the best in Australia.
At Charlotte Pass all levels of skiers and boarders are catered for, from gentle, easy going front runs to the hardcore off-piste chutes and bowls, there's plenty to keep everyone amused. The resort is especially perfect for families, with easy access to the slopes from your lodge, internationally experienced instructors at the snowsports school and no crowds. With only a few
day trippers and limited guest numbers Charlotte Pass lift queues are minimal even in peak periods.
Snowsport gear and clothing hire, lift tickets, lessons and discount packages are all available through the
Charlotte Pass Ski Resort. Weekly flare runs and our Charlotte Pass tradition, the Standard Race are all part of the fun.
Visitors to our Village are also welcome to use the Kosciuszko Chalet Hotel facilities at anytime through the winter season. These include a small general shop, child minding and kids club, coffee hut, bars and lounges, a night club, and
Enjoy our Mountains
Charlotte Pass is Australia's highest village with an elevation of 1760 metres and is the home of Australia's oldest ski resort. It is named for Charlotte Adams, who, in 1881, was the first european woman to climb Mt Kosciuszko. In the frosty winter months Charlotte Pass is completely snow-bound, accessible only using specialised over snow transportation. This beautiful Alpine valley is situated on the edge of the snowy mountains main range and is only eight kilometres from
Australia's highest peak, Mount Kosciuszko at 2229 metres.
On a clear day, the view from the top of the Kangaroo Ridge Chairlift over the main range is simply breathtaking.
